Location and Directions
Directions from Dresden Airport by train
Upon arrival at Dresden Airport, head to the train station located within the airport terminal.
Take the S-Bahn (S2) towards Pirna from Dresden Airport train station until Dresden Neustadt. The trains run every 30 minutes and the journey to Pirna takes approximately 12 minutes.
Once you arrive at Dresden Neustadt, transfer to a regional train (S1) towards Schöna. The trains run every 30 minutes and the journey to Bad Schandau takes approximately 50 minutes.
Get off at Bad Schandau station and head north-east towards the river Elbe and the ferry. Use the ferry to cross river Elbe. The Ticket is included in your S-Bahn ticket, you just have to show it again to the captain.
After exiting the ferry on the other river bank walk north on Königsteiner Straße until you reach the market. Turn right on the market and walk another 100m. You will see Hotel Elbresidenz on your right-hand side.
